America's Cup Racing starts today at 2pm, but we had the opportunity to jump onboard with Oracle Team USA on Thursday afternoon as they prepare to defend their title! For more information on the events and racing, click here!

Thursday's activities began with a press conference moderated by Bob Costas.

Oracle Team USA Skipper Jimmy Spithill is interviewed. On the potential to celebrate a victory in New York City, Spithill said, "It's certainly a plus coming to New York if you want to party and have fun, so if we're fortunate enough to win, we would go out with a bang, and probably miss our flights on Monday."

We had the chance to jump on board an Oracle Team USA chase boat (left) as well as a Yanmar concept boat (right) to check out the conditions on The Hudson as teams prepared for Open Sail. Yanmar is the official technical partner of Oracle Team USA.

The AC45s are capable of speeds of up to 45mph!

Races 1-3 are set to begin at 2pm today (weather could be a factor in start time), while Races 4-6 are scheduled for Sunday when a champion will be crowned.

If you're on the New Jersey side, head over to Liberty State Park or the Waterfont in Jersey City for prime viewing of the high-speed action! If you're in NYC, get down to Brookfield Place to enjoy the Event Village! If you can't physically be there to witness this awesome event, catch live coverage on NBC Sports. We will be covering the event from both land and sea, so be sure to follow both @haveanight and @haveanight_jc on Instagram for all of the updates.
