Jersey City will soon welcome the first and only distillery to town! Corgi Spirits has just begun the construction process and is excited to open come early 2017. Upon launching just west of Liberty State Park, they will provide gin and vodka, with future plans of whiskies and liqueurs. Tours, a tasting room, and a gift shop will all be included within the space as well.
Have A Night spoke with Corgi founder, Bob Hagemann, about his excitement to be part of the Jersey City community, "We are so proud to become a part of one of the fastest-growing, most dynamic, and culturally diverse cities in the world, and it is our commitment to contribute to the community and help Jersey City continue to be an amazing place to live, work, and play."
As you can see from their labels, Corgi Spirits takes its name from the furry 4-legged pup, "Corgi Spirits will focus on meticulously crafted small-batch, ultra-premium spirits that are suited for drinking on their own or in making cocktails that are refined, yet playful, much like the dogs after which our brand is named." Corgi will also donate a portion of every bottle's profits to a local dog adoption agency in the JC area!
For your Corgi Spirits brand introduction:
"…because who settles for a drab lemon slice these days? Not us. Or you, we're sure. You seem to be a likeminded soul. Someone who relishes the clink of ice in cut crystal, the sup of something sippable, the taste of a tipple that's altogether refreshing? Are we wrong?
Allow us to introduce ourselves. We're Corgi and we spend our days in pursuit of spirits supremacy – pairing flavor with flavor for the ultimate alchemical combination. Eminently quaffable. Perfect for mixing. Utterly unique.
Born from the breastpockets of Britain, brought to life by bright sparks burrowed away in our New Jersey distillery, every bottle is a beveragical adventure. Committed to quality, delighted by difference, obsessed by creating a higher pedigree of spirit – we know no bounds. Until cocktail hour, at least.
Now, how might you be taking yours? Surprise you? Gladly…"
