The 1st ever Hamilton Park House Tour will take place this Sunday, October 16th, from 10am to 4pm. This is a self-guided, walking neighborhood tour highlighting the beautiful homes that makes Hamilton Park a Jersey City gem. The event is a fundraiser to benefit St. Lucy's Shelter – a homeless organization in our backyard. The goal is to raise funds for those amongst us who are not as fortunate. 100% of the ticket sales will be donated to St. Lucy's Shelter.
The tour will feature stunning residences in the area, all of which are privately owned and feature work from Donahoe Brothers and Jeff Jordan Architects, among others. Most have historical significance and were restoration projects overseen by the Historical Society in Jersey City! There will also be special bonus stops at neighborhood restaurants and retailers!
Details: The self-guided tour takes about two to three hours on foot. Houses open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Homes may be visited in any order. A map will be included when you check in on the day of the tour. Tour-goers must begin the tour at the Gazebo in Hamilton Park to receive entry wristbands, a map, and shoe covers.
Tickets are $30 thru Oct 15th and $35 on the day of the tour (HPNA members pay $25). The tour is not recommended for children under age 12. Ticket sales will be limited, and may not be available on the day of the tour, so get yours NOW!
