There are many bars and restaurants that offer craft beer in Jersey City, but you may be looking for something just a little bit different than a restaurant atmosphere.
Here are a list of places where you can visit to get your craft beer fix!
At A Brewery: Departed Soles
If you have not yet checked out this brewery, then you must! Departed Soles is open Thursday – Sunday and the tasting room is awesome. There are many options for you to try – including Gluten Free Beer! I would order a flight ($15 – 4 samples); it comes on a mini skateboard. While enjoying, there is a nice collection of board games for you to play.
At A liquor Store: Super Buy Rite Wine and Spirits
This liquor store has the best craft beer selection around. Wanting to try a couple of different types but don't want to buy the whole 6 pack? Not to worry, Super Buy Rite Wine and Spirits will allow you to create your own 6 packs, you can choose from rows and rows of single bottle brews. I could spend hours just examining all the different choices with their interesting labels.
At A Gay Bar: Pint
This is a tiny bar with an awesome beer selection that changes every week. They have growlers & beer to go. They have over 50 American craft beers – with all the choices, there is something for everyone!
At A Diner: City Diner
I know what you're thinking....Why would I go to a diner for good craft beer? Here's why.....City Diner has over 10 beers on tap, as well as cans and bottles of interesting and seasonal craft beers. They have a great happy hour - all drafts are $5 from 11pm to late (this on top of their regular happy hour from 4pm-7pm). I highly recommend going for some late night grub and ordering a Boulevard Funky Pumpkin which is on tap right now!
At A New Place: Würstbar
Würstbar recently opened – if you haven't checked it out, it's a must. This place has 13 beers on tap and a large collection of bottles and cans, not to mention over 20 hard ciders...in case you're not big on craft beer. Würstbar also has Bad Seed IPC (India Pale Cider), which is a must try and unlike anything you've had before. Just picture a dry cider but with the addition of hops; it is strong, dry, and crisp; Bad Seed packs a serious punch, beware it has an ABV of 6.9%.
At An Arcade: Barcade
Beer & Arcade games – sounds like a perfect place to be. This place has an app (Apple & Android) that informs you of what is currently available on tap at Barcade, the app comes in handy since the list changes frequently. Each time I visit Barcade, I try something different. Last time I was there, I had the Forgotten Boardwalk "Nitro" Funnel Cake Ale – and man, was it delicious; I highly recommend it.

She totally enjoys cooking, bourbon, and flowers....in that order. Since she has spent much time throughout her life in and around NYC as well as moving to Hoboken in 2011, she has retained an abundant amount of knowledge about where to go and what to see in the area, so much so, that friends and acquaintances frequently use her as a source for great tips. When Carly isn't designing something in Photoshop or creating something; she is mostly likely dragging her friends out and about to try new places that have peaked her interest.
