Want your building to start scheduling some live tunes in the common area? Tell them! As reported by Jersey Digs, The Community Music Residency is a new initiative that hopes to bring classical musicians to larger, residential buildings. How does it work, you ask? Rehearsal space is donated by the building to the musicians (usually 8-10 hours per month), and in return, an exclusive performance will be put on for residents of the building.

Right now, the program partners with Con Vivo Music in Jersey City & Groupmuse, an NYC-based group that brings classical music to house party-concerts. Want to see this happen in your building? Reach out to your community or building manager and let them know!
