Today, Friday November 11th is Veterans Day. It is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance. Without the selfless sacrifices made by millions of Veterans over the course of our country's history, we would not be afforded the freedoms and opportunities we have today. Today, above all other days, if you see a Veteran say thank you; go out of your way to do something nice for somebody who has served to show them how much their service means to you and your country.

Jersey City is playing host to several events this weekend to commemorate our Veterans.

Today, November 11th, there will be a Veterans Day tribute at the Korean War memorial on the corner of Washington and Dudley streets at 9 a.m. hosted by The Hudson County Korean War Veterans.

The 9th Annual Military & Musical Veterans Day Tribute "Honoring our Heroes" will be hosted by The Historic Jersey City & Harismus Memorial Park at 435 Newark Ave at 1 p.m. The event will feature live music by "The American Bombshells" and a special performance by recording artist Lovari.

On Saturday, the city will host "A Parade of Veterans and Heroes". The parade will start at Dickinson High School at 10am and end at City Hall.

Whether you are personally close to veteran or not, these events offer a great way to show your respect and gratitude for all they have done. We would like to personally extend a thank you to all of our Veterans from all of us at Have A Night.
