Where to Enjoy Manayunk's {Fall Restaurant Week}

There's no doubt that the Fall is a favorite season for many – English poet George Eliot even referred to the season as, "Delicious autumn," and this may be the perfect description for Manayunk's Fall Restaurant week. Restaurant week runs from Friday, September 15 through Thursday, September 28, immediately following the StrEAT Food Festival on Thursday, September 14. During this delectable week, some of the best local eateries in Manayunk will offer prix fixe meals at a set price of $15, $25, or $35.

For $15, you can get your taco fix at Cactus Cantina, which offers two different taco options in addition to a shrimp salad starter and a cinnamon apple funnel cake dessert.


At the $25 price point, you can check out Winnie's Manayunk, which is offering several perfect fall themed selctions: pumpkin soup or fall pear salad to start, butternut squash risotto, ancho chile glazed pork chops, or chicken milenese as an entrée, and apple cobbler with ice cream for dessert. You can also check out the Manayunk Tavern, which is offering your choice of crab and corn soup, tomato bisque, tomato mozzarella salad, or spinach salad to start, a fried mozzarella appetizer with pesto and marinara, and an entrée of barbeque pork with pineapple fried rice and string beans.


In both the $25 and $35 range is Bourbon Blue's offering – you can select two courses for $25, or three for $35. (As someone whose eyes are often bigger than her stomach, this seems like a great option to me!) Bourbon Blue is offering a selection of an apple flatbread, a wedge salad, or fried pickles as an appetizer, pork tenderloin, jambalaya, or southern fried chicken as an entrée, and apple crumb cake, bananas foster bread pudding, or a chocolate brownie sundae for dessert.


Finally, in the $35 category are Jake's and Cooper's Wine Bar and The Goat's Beard. At Jake's and Cooper's Wine Bar, you can choose from sweet potato gnocchi or roasted brussel sprout salad to start, a petite pan roasted filet or poached halibut entrée, and key lime mousse or warm fruit compote for dessert. At The Goat's beard, you can start with a garden salad, goat nuggets (made of chicken!), or bacon wrapped scallops, then select fish and grits, vegetable napoleon, or steak mac and cheese for your main course, and finish off with either a fried brownie or baked apple for dessert.
