We all have those days where after work drinks seem like an absolute necessity. That 9 to 5 grind is real, and sometimes you just need to let loose on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Jersey City isn't called Chilltown for nothing! Check out these places with ALL of the vibes {and drinks} that will have you feeling relaxed in no time!

Cellar 335

For when you feel like you need a vacation, but drinks are way cheaper than a flight. Fact: Tropical tiki cocktails can cure any work blues. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday from 5-7pm, featuring $2 off any drink. Unfortunately they are closed on Mondays... womp womp. The menu here is phenomenal and these drinks are no joke so you're going to need some substance. All plates are served share-style making it the perfect place to chill with friends when you need to vent about your boss or office drama. 335 Newark Ave.

Another "vacation-like" spot, but this time we're taking the party to Mexico, because that is exactly the atmosphere at this spot. Margaritas, fun cocktails (order the Corner Bodega), and a wide tequila selection for if it was an extra long day. The service here is quick and awesome plus the tacos are perfect portion to get your afternoon snack on. Throw on some sombreros, shake those maracas, and post a boomie to the gram to make all your coworkers jealous. Plus they just announced happy hour specials, half-price all drinks on Mondays; as well as $3 beer, and $5 cocktails Tuesday-Thursday from 5-7pm. Open all week until 12am, it is the perfect space for the after work crowd. Gringo's is always a good time. 12 Coles St.

PJ Ryan's Squared

Sometimes when you need a drink, you need it STAT. If Journal Square is your usual stop than PJ Ryan's is the perfect local watering hole to drown those work-related woes. After work drinks isn't just for nine-to-fivers. When it comes to the art of post-shift drinks, the service industry goes hard. Monday nights are Industry Nights and all drinks are half-off with proof of employment (bar card or pay stub). PJ Ryan's is open until 2am during the week and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. Their OG location downtown is just as good too, and the bar bites are everything! 4 Path Plaza.

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." When work has you feeling like crazy person come play in this cozy dim-lit setting. The happy hour special is $8 classic cocktails 5-7pm, Monday to Friday. Compared to the usual price tag for their delicious cocktails that is quite a deal! While everyone is shoving tacos into their face on Tuesdays, treat yo'self to $1 oysters without having to keep your bank account in mind. Is a glass of vino your choice of poison? Drop in on Thursdays for wine specials. 364 Grove St.

Low Fidelity

A fairly new neighborhood bar in The Heights, Low Fidelity is an awesome spot to hit up and get lit after work. Laid-back environment, lots of bar seating, and a backdoor patio space. The kitchen just opened at the end of September, but while it was out of commission they had a food truck outside so their guest wouldn't go hungry. How could you not love a place like this? Plus they have "forever happy hour" specials like $4 pints of High Life, and select whiskey and rye shots. Personally, I cannot wait to try their deep dish pizza. Lo-Fi, as they call it, will give you all the feels for sure. 328 Palisade Ave.
