The holidays have arrived! A time for family, friends, and food! Food being the most important factor here. Friendsgiving is becoming an increasingly popular tradition because you can actually enjoy a meal with people you like! (Haha JK!...kinda). Hosting a dinner at your apartment is such a process; the cleaning, the meal prep, the cleaning! That's why we have the perfect solution: 5 places in Jersey City to celebrate your Friendsgiving dinner.
Talde is a great option because the food is amazing and their seating easily accommodates large groups. Delicious pan-asian fusion cuisine served family style, and the cocktails here are just as slammin' as the food. If you're really wanting to go all out, you can rent Miss Wong's for a private dinner. It seats up to 20! Looking for a more low-key night? Make a late reservation on a Thursday or Friday night and move your after-dinner party to the dance party downstairs, where DJs play until 2am.
Liberty Prime Steakhouse
Turkey < Steak. Even if you disagree with that statement, Liberty Prime Steakhouse really is a prime dinner destination. Definitely for those in a treat yo'self mood. They offer all different styles and cuts steak (including bone-in steak...if you're into that). Order a steak Oscar (topped with crab meat) and now you're truly living! For the anti-red meat eaters, there are plenty of fish options and a roasted chicken entree. A decadent meal that is worth the price tag.
Serving up American comfort food in a simple but cozy atmosphere. With a variety of options, even picky eaters can find something. They have duck, salmon, steak, veggie options, and chicken pot pie. A plus is all entrees are pretty wallet-friendly. Not far from Newark Ave, so you can hit the bar scene for those after dinner drinks.
The Hamilton Inn
I don't know about you, but burgers and beers sounds like a pretty solid Friendsgiving option to me! The Hamilton Inn is a cute but chic establishment that's perfect for just that, with their wide selection including burgers, lamb, and tuna! Located on the outskirts of Downtown JC near Hamilton Park, you can relish in a quiet evening away from the bustle of Newark and Grove. Milk Sugar Love for dessert, anyone? They are open until 9pm and have a lot of unique ice cream flavors!
Creative but classic dishes in a clean and quaint environment. If you really want to flex for the gram everyone should order the 80s Glam, a cocktail topped with colorful glitter. Think about how sick your "Cheers to Friendsgiving" shot will be! The Deviled Eggs and Sweet Corn Fritters are a must to start off.
