Our four-legged friends will soon have an awesome new spot to hang out at in Manayunk! Pet Friendly Dog Bakery, located at 4324 Main St., is the vision of Teresa and Lenny Bazemore, and will definitely be a welcome addition to the neighborhood! We recently caught up with the GM of Pet Friendly Dog Bakery, Steph Johnson, to get the inside scoop on what you can expect from this new spot.
We found out right away that there's a lot more to this spot than just a bakery. Pet Friendly Dog Bakery is definitely going to be a destination more so than just a store. Upon entering, you'll walk into a store complete with a bakery case filled with locally made treats, as well as products you won't see in typical pet stores. Most of the products are sourced from smaller vendors across the country, and are mostly unique to Philadelphia! There will also be some toys and treats available for your feline friends.
There will be a deck off of the main floor for pets and their owners to take in some sun. When you head downstairs, you'll enter the Doggie Lounge which features lots of Yogibo bean bags, dog toys, and a big screen TV showing dog-specific programming. The Doggie Lounge will also play host to different events, including catered dog birthday parties, doggy Yoga classes, painting your dog classes, and different seminars (such as tricks, pet health, adoption days, etc). When the weather warms up, there will also be a back patio space which will feature dog pools, fun sprinklers, and more to help your pooch cool off.
Pet Friendly Dog Bakery is set to celebrate its soft opening this Saturday, January 13th from 9am - 8pm, so be sure to bring your pup by to check out the new space! The Grand Opening will be on Saturday, February 17th and will celebrate the Chinese New Year which happens to be the Year of the Dog, with 10% off our fortune cookie dog treats! We can't wait to check it out!

An avid sports fan, the only thing he enjoys more than attending a game, is the beach. Don't let the knee injury fool you though, he can still get down on the dance floor!
