As reported by
Jersey Digs, a new restaurant and bar recently opened on Central Ave. in The Heights. Paulie's Brickhouse, located at 264 Central Ave., replaced what was once Central Suds laundromat. The new spot boasts plenty of seating, as well as a full bar area featuring 16 beers on tap, wine, and cocktail options. There are also multiple flatscreen TVs in the bar area so you can catch all of the sports action.
Paulie's features a brick oven, and each of the bar pies are named after a specific JC neighborhood or landmark, including:
- The Heights (Margherita)
- The Hamilton Park (BBQ Chicken)
- The Jersey City Reservoir (Cheese-less)
- The GREENSville (Vegetarian)
- The Westside (Meat Lovers)
- The Waterfront (White)
As they continue to roll out their full launch, you can expect an expanded menu including burgers, sandwiches, wings, and a full menu of appetizers. Head over and check it out!

John likes to think he is very gifted. His talents include napping, eating sunflower seeds, growing a neckbeard, Ja Rule karaoke, and napping. Recovering from a knee injury, John is currently limited to bar games like shuffleboard, pool, and darts, and accepts all challengers. An avid sports fan, the only thing he enjoys more than attending a game, is the beach. Don't let the knee injury fool you though, he can still get down on the dance floor!
