The Mummers Mardi Gras Parade returns to Main Street in Manayunk this Sunday, February 25th from 1-7pm! and ADVENT are proud to present the biggest family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration in the city, and you don't want to miss it! Attendees will be treated to numerous performances from the most prominent string bands parading down Main Street.

Besides an amazing day, the day-long celebration contributes exposure and raises money for one of the greatest traditions in Philadelphia, The Mummers! Look out for the "bucket brigade" during the parade, as your generous support for the "I Am A Mummer" program helps to ensure that this 115-year-old unique Philadelphia tradition can continue for years to come (100% of your gift will go to the Philadelphia String Band Association)!

The parade will start at Shurs Lane at 1pm and proceed down the length of Main Street. After the parade, all attendees are encouraged to visit participating restaurants (more info below), which will serve as String Band Clubhouses for the afternoon! FYI: There is currently rain in the forecast for Sunday, and the rain date (if necessary) is set for Sunday, March 4th. John likes to think he is very gifted. His talents include napping, eating sunflower seeds, growing a neckbeard, Ja Rule karaoke, and napping. Recovering from a knee injury, John is currently limited to bar games like shuffleboard, pool, and darts, and accepts all challengers. An avid sports fan, the only thing he enjoys more than attending a game, is the beach. Don't let the knee injury fool you though, he can still get down on the dance floor!
