And action there will be. The winners of the first 3 rounds are set to compete for $2,000 cash. That's right - CASH! While you're taking in all of the excitement of the competition, we'll have cocktail specials only for those who RSVP (100% FREE)!
So...how did we get to this point? Let's take a look back!
Winner of Round 1 at Porta on 2/22: TJ Annese of Ani Ramen
In our first event at Porta, TJ wowed the judges both with his incorporation of the mystery ingredients (which were Gummy Bears and Bacon), and with his own secret ingredients which included pickled strawberries.
In honor of National Tequila Day, contestants were able to choose from 3 different tequilas: Jose Cuervo Tradicional, 1800 Silver Tequila, and Maestro Dobel Diamante
Winner of Round 2 at The Hutton on 3/1: Tom Linstrom of White Star
Tom got off to a strong start at The Hutton with his cocktail incorporating mystery ingredient #1, which was blackberries. He then broke out a blender for Round 2 mixing the secret ingredient of chipotle adobo with fresh peaches to wow the judges and take home the win!
The spirits featured at The Hutton were Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey, and Tincup American Whiskey, which allowed the competitors a wide range of mixin' and shakin' options!
Winner of Round 3 at Talde on 3/8: Michelle DeSantis of Talde
Michelle used the energy of the home crowd at Talde to put together 2 cocktails focused on clean ingredients, much to the delight of the judges. Secret ingredients featured were Hibiscus syrup and hot chili oil! Michele even broke out some fire to smoke some Rosemary which got the crowd going! Creativity, Presentation, and Taste are all going to be integral parts of the finals.
The spirits used in Round 3 gave competitors multiple flavor profiles to work with, and included The Kraken Rum, Three Olives Vodka, and Gran Centenario Tequila.
