As reported by Broadway World Raleigh, in just a few weeks time, Bare Theatre is set to present ShakesBEER II: The Bard Strikes Back, an all-new sequel to their hit original comedy ShakesBEER. After 2 successful multi-city tours in the Fall of 2017, a quartet of skilled actors will again combine beer and poetry, delivering both Shakespearean and contemporary comedy/song to audiences at breweries, bars, and pubs around The Triangle.

So...what is the show all about? Four actors/actresses will portray more than 20 characters in 45 minutes of high-energy fun. The shows are always free, but donations are encouraged (the hat gets passed around at the end of each performance). Audience members can eat, drink, and be merry while observing some of Shakespeare's greatest scenes from Antony & Cleopatra, Henry IV, As You Like It, Hamlet, and more. If you're lucky, you might even get to join them on stage for a scene inspired by the films of Martin Scorsese or perhaps another classic set in galaxy far, far away...

Recovering from a knee injury, John is currently limited to bar games like shuffleboard, pool, and darts, and accepts all challengers. An avid sports fan, the only thing he enjoys more than attending a game, is the beach. Don't let the knee injury fool you though, he can still get down on the dance floor!
