As reported by ABC11, Little City Brewing is currently petitioning city officials to OK a zoning change that would allow for a food truck to be stationed outside. Owner Jon Seelbinder hopes it will help the bar continue to grow. Little City is located very close to the Metropolitan Apartment Complex, which burnt down more than a year ago and caused millions worth of damage. Seelbinder said the fire initially caused sales to go down, but business has since rebounded. However, he believes the addition of the food truck, "Would help us tremendously."
The City Council seemed receptive to the food-truck proposal at Tuesday night's meeting, with Mayor Nancy McFarland saying, "We did hear from some other businesses that were experiencing trouble from the blocks being closed for so long." Officials have said that the planning department will work with Little City to bring something to the street corner. We can't wait to check it out! Stay tuned for more details as they're announced!
