Wednesday, April 25th, 5:00 pm: Bottle Release and Tap Takeover, Tasty Beverage, Raleigh, NC
Come grab bottles of Brett Saison and Papaver, with Brisk Pilsner, Grove, Papaver, and SAmaranthus (our blueberry dark sour) on tap!
Brett Saison (6.0%)
The first beer to benefit from our wild-yeasted, white oak foeder, this pungent saison is an attempt at letting go. Solera aged for over a year, it began as our bright and tangy Till saison, turning funky, oaky, and ever-so-dry, with a rough, champagne-like effervescence. It was on tap at our restaurant for over a year and is now available in 500ml and 1.5 liter magnum bottles!
Papaver, Flanders Red (6.4%)
An all-new offering! This burgundy ale was brewed in December 2016 and fermented with only our house saison and house sour cultures. Aged for a year in cabernet barrels, its traditional Vienna malt base slowly evolves into notes of black cherry, red currant, and plum. Also available in 500ml and 1.5 liter magnum bottles.
Thursday, April 26th, 5:00 pm: Bottle Release & Tap Takeover, State of Beer, Raleigh, NC
Come grab bottles of Bounty and Sylvan, with Grove, Bounty, Papaver, and Amaranthus (our blueberry dark sour) on tap!
Bounty, Barrel-Aged Sour Saison (6.2%)
Like natural champagne, this wild beer begins with familiar tropical fruit flavors but opens to something deeper and more redolent: summer-ripe peaches, melon, then oak. Aged for nine months in red and white wine barrels, then dry-hopped with Citra and Idaho 7, it is mildly sour with a delicate body. On tap at our restaurant for three months this winter, it's now available in 500ml bottles. (Sorry. No magnums.)
Sylvan, Mixed Culture Saison (6.7%)
Perhaps the most beautiful beer we've ever made. Subtle acidity, traipsing fruit flavors, and oaken aromatics are suspended in the balance of this dry and complex ale. Primary fermented for 13 months in Sauvignon Blanc barrels, with both our house sour and house saison cultures, it is the consummate expression of our fermentation flavors. Available in 500ml and 1.5 liter magnum bottles.
Friday, April 27th, 5:00 pm: Bottle Release & Tap Takeover, Ridgewood Wine & Beer, Raleigh, NC
Come grab bottles Saison Blanc and 8-ounce cans of Burrow, with Grove, Pithy, Yield, Brisk, Bounty, Papaver, and Burrow on tap!
Saison Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc Barrel-Aged Farmhouse Ale (6.6%)
First brewed for our grand opening (and the first beer we ever ran out of! in less a month!), Saison Blanc is a sharp and effervescent ale, aged in single-use white wine barrles to mimic the flavors of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The wine enhances its tangy, tropical overtones, adding aromatic layers of wood and fresh cut grass.
Burrow, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout (10%)
Our first barrel aged stout! Velvety smooth, round, and dry, this perfect little beer spent five months in Woodford bourbon barrels, gaining notes of vanilla and oh-so-much oak. And it's packaged in the most adorable, 8 ounce cans! Sold in 4-packs.
