Has this summer rain been getting you down? Sometimes all you want to do on a humid, wet day is sit down at home with a nice chilled bottle of rosé and order take out, but you might want to reconsider that plan after you read this. Listed are some awesome events going on in Jersey City to help make your weekend as awesome as ever!

Thursday, July 26th:

Late Night Luau at LITM

LITM is throwing a tropical party complete with cocktails like their Some Like It Hot and Life's A Peach cocktails. They'll have a burger & beer special all night for $15 and special eats for this occasion like pulled pork tacos. Jazz for Lunch

Thursdays at the Owen Grundy Pier you can take your lunch break looking at the New York skyline and listening to live jazz music from 12pm to 2pm!

Friday, July 27th:

Jersey City Food Truck Fest

Swing on by the Urby this Friday and experience some of Jersey City's best food trucks! From Milk Sugar Love to Mozzarepas, there's a food truck for everyone this year! 200 Greene St.

Mars Madness at Liberty Science Center

Did you know that this Friday Mars will be shining brighter than it has in the past 15 years? Check it out at the Liberty Science Center this Friday from 7pm til 12pm. Guests over 21 can enjoy astronomical cocktails and everyone will get the chance to look at Mars through the LSC telescopes. 222 Jersey City Blvd.

The Cuisine of Tulum, Mexico at Zeppelin Hall

From July 27th to August 18th, the chefs at Zeppelin Hall will be serving food inspired by the cuisine of Mexico. You can experience Snapper Quesadillas, Skirt Steak Molcajete for two, and (of course) house-made churros. 88 Liberty View Dr.

Hudson Restaurant Week

Jersey City Caribbean Carnival Parade & Festival

The Famous Food Festival at Lutze Biergarten

Sunday, July 29th:

Northeast Cheese & Wine Pairing at Third & Vine

Third & Vine and Van Hook Cheese & Grocery will be hosting a five-course menu pairing wines and cheeses exclusively from the Northeast. Who doesn't love cheese & wine? 353 2nd St.

Brunch at Atlas Public House

If you haven't checked out the brunch offered at Atlas this is the weekend to do it (because what else are you doing on Sunday?). On top of their New Jersey beers offered they have an awesome menu of Lox Omelets, Dry Aged Burgers, Ricotta Bruschetta, and Challah French Toast. 130 Newark Ave.
