One of the amazing things about Jersey City is that there seems to be no end to the new businesses opening up. We're clearing our schedules to check out all of the places that have recently opened!

Crepe Guru

Same menu, new location. If you didn't already know (or guess by their name), Crepe Guru offers a huge selection of crepes–savory and sweet–that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters! Enjoy a savory crepes as a whole meal and then put on your stretchy pants to indulge in one of their sweet crepes. 110 Bright St.

Mordi's Sandwich Shop

The popular local food truck finally has a brick and mortar location! Nestled in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood on a busy corner along with several other new(-ish) restaurants, Mordi's Sandwich Shop will be serving some of their food truck's most popular sandwiches like schnitzel, pita, and other Israeli favorites. 320 Communipaw Ave.

Jersey & Co. Gelato

Just in time for the summer heat, Jersey & Co. Gelato has officially opened in the West Bergen neighborhood, just a block off the West Side Avenue Light Rail Station. Prepare your tastebuds for their housemade gelato and non-dairy sorbets, and wash them down with something from their coffee menu. In the short time they've been open, they're already known for their decadent fruit flavors like kibana (kiwi-banana). 55 Mallory Ave.

Headroom Bar & Social

The corner space at 150 Bay St. has undergone quite a few transformations over the past year or so, and newcomer Headroom Bar & Social looks promising. The new bar is stocked with liquor, beer, and wine and serves comfort food along with grilled cheese sandwiches from their neighbor MeltDown. Expect a soundtrack of pop music from various decades and happy hour from 4pm-7pm with a second happy hour from 12am-1am every weekday. 150 Bay St.

Café Madelaine

Bienvenue (welcome) to downtown Jersey City, Café Madelaine! The café snagged a spacious corner lot, perfect for sitting outdoors in warm weather, and for hanging out and doing work during the day. The menu seems pretty well-priced with breakfast anywhere between $3 and $15 and lunch between $8 and $14. Expect traditional French pastries along with popular American fare–oh, and of course, ALL the coffee. 34 Coles St.

Angel's Recipe Ice Cream & Crepes

Last month we welcomed Hoboken's Angel's Recipe Ice Cream & Crepes to The Heights. The beloved frozen-treat shop serves hand-crafted ice cream, both regular and rolled Thai style, sweet crepes, and combos of both. The list of ice cream flavors (and toppings) is extensive, and includes things like homemade caramel sauce! 312 Central Ave.

Me Casa

Me Casa has moved into a larger, more centrally located spot right on Christopher Columbus Drive, steps from the Grove Street Path. You can still get all of your favorite Puerto Rican delights for lunch, dinner, or catered. 109 Christopher Columbus Dr.

Fitness fiends rejoice! Popular indoor cycling gym Cyclebar recently opened in the Harborside neighborhood. From experience, I can say that the studio is spotless, welcoming, has great facilities, and energetic motivational instructors. One 45-minute cycling class will have you addicted to the "I-worked-hard-for-that" muscle pain that ensues. 88 Morgan St.
