Your Guide to 15 {Can't-Miss} Jersey City Events This Weekend: 10/4-10/7

With the official start of fall, JC is offering some of the most unique events during this first weekend of October. With events to bring out your inner artist, entertainer, and drink connoisseur, this weekend will be one for the books. Here is your weekend guide to all things JC!

Thursday, October 4th:

JC Walking Art and Studio Tour

This weekend is the 28th annual Jersey City Art and Studio tour! Join them from Thursday to Sunday for 21-square miles of local art, curated tours, children's fun and more! As part of the JC Art tour, join Yelp as they take you on a photo tour of JC! Find the JC Yelp Photo Tour outside of the Journal Square PATH plaza, and the Walking tour at JCAST HQ. 84 Sip Ave.

Oktoberfest at Satis Bistro

Satis Bistro is hosting their own Oktoberfest this weekend. With authentic beer and food tastings, you'll feel right at home. Tables can be booked here, and come with a four-course meal and beer pairings. 212 Washington St.

H.U.G Pumpkin Patch at Liberty House Restaurant

Embrace fall this weekend at Liberty House Restaurant! Pick your own pumpkin, decorate it, and watch a Halloween movie during this free event! This event is for all ages, and is presented by H.U.G., Landmark Hospitalities, and Community Giving Program. 76 Audrey Zapp Dr.

Friday, October 5th:

City Nights Block Party

The 3d annual City Nights Block Party is taking place this weekend from 7-10pm! This event features some of the best live music, artists, food, and drink vendors around. This event will leave you entertained and loving local JC nightlife. 148 1st St.

PierFest at J. Owen Grundy Park

PierFest is a free Friday night concert series from 6-9pm. A variety of local bands will be featured, along with food trucks and beer. This Friday will feature Alex Tea and Chino Pons. J. Owen Grundy Park

The Spider Maze at Liberty Science Center

The Spider Maze opens this weekend at Liberty Science Center again for the fall season! This maze runs around 4,000-sq feet, and is cast against a beautiful NYC skyline. Although this maze will not give you arachnophobia, it will be a great start to the spookiness of October! 222 Jersey City Blvd.

The Kinnect at FM Restaurant

FM Restaurant is known for amazing live music and entertainment offerings, and this weekend is nothing short of that. From 8:30pm-12am be a part of an interactive live music event, featuring performances and a Q&A with the artists after each segment. Admission is $5. 340 3rd St.

Saturday, October 6th:

Tomahawks Axe Throwing Grand Opening

Tomahawks grand opening is Saturday at 10am! Go try your luck at axe throwing, perfect for those adrenaline junkies, and maybe find a new hobby! Lanes can be reserved here, but do note, that all lanes require a party of at least 4, so bring your friends along. This event should not be missed! 7 Sherman Ave.

Pop Bright Art Exhibit at Speakeasy Studio

Speakeasy Studio is presenting an entertaining art exhibit based on music and pop artists Saturday and Sunday from 12-6pm. The show will feature different methods of art including light sculptures. Subjects of these pieces vary from the Queen of England to popular artists and civil rights activists. 329 Newark Ave.

Mini Record Fair at Monty Hall

WFMU is hosting a 'Mini Record Fair' this Saturday at Monty Hall. Find some awesome bargains and rare records to expand your own personal collection. Bring some cash and shop around from 11am-6pm. 43 Montgomery St.

Tiny G Band at Porta

This weekend Porta is hosting the local band Tiny G Band. Join them for some great live music, drinks, and of course, amazing pizza from Porta. This event takes place from 11:30pm-2:30am. 135 Newark Ave.

Fight Night at Lutze Biergarten

This Saturday the Lutze is hosting a once-in-a-lifetime fight experience. Tickets include rolled cigars, an opportunity to box your friends in bouncy castle boxing rings, music, and of course, TV screens for your Connor McGreggor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov fight viewing pleasure. Doors open at 8pm and tickets and VIP tables can be purchased here. 15 2nd St.

Sunday, October 7th:

VOGUE Ball at White Eagle Hall

VOGUE Ball is taking place this weekend and is not to be missed. From 3-6pm, embark on an experience of cultural expression. This event is free, has some of the best performances, a runway, and prizes! 337 Newark Ave.

Fall Photo Frame Workshop

Spend your Sunday relaxing and crafting at a Fall Flower Box Frame workshop. Sip some complimentary tea, bring out your inner artist, and put your mark on your own photo frame! All materials are included with ticket package. More information can be found by emailing 80 Mallory Ave.

Artists' Happy Hour at LITM

Close out the weekend with an Artists' Happy Hour at LITM! Specials include $5 martinis, house wines, beers, and art-inspired cocktails. Pop up brunch runs from 12-4pm, and dinner from 5-10pm. LITM will also have art supplies and activities for you to show off your major art skills. 140 Newark Ave.
