Thanksgiving is officially here thus kicking off the holiday season. It is now time to show extra love to our friends and family, so drag them out to one of these events or get them a nice gift at a local shop this Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. With no shortage of events this weekend, spend time with the kids, hangout with friends on Thanksgiving Eve, or make a wonderful memory with a family member. The question isn't what event to attend, but who will you bring along?

Wednesday, November 21st:

Kids Arts and Crafts Night at Downtown 234 Gallery

Kids ages 5 to 10 are welcome to participate in a holiday craft at Downtown 234 Gallery. From 3:30-5:30pm the children will be crafting their very own placemats—all materials will be provided. Tickets are available via Eventbrite. 234 York St.

Dranksgiving: Annual Thanksgiving Eve Party at LITM

Party at LITM this Thanksgiving Eve because they've got beer and a shot specials all night long. Food will be served until 11pm, and the specials don't stop at the drinks. Wings (both chicken and tofu) are $7. 140 Newark Ave.

Live Performance by Answer Infinity at South House

Swing by South House on Thanksgiving Eve for live music by progressive rock band Answer Infinity. The show starts at 8pm. 149 Newark Ave.

No Playlist at Lucky 7

Turn up at Lucky 7 on Thanksgiving Eve! The music selection is sure to please any group of friends with eclectic taste. DJ Grundle and DJ Dangerous DaveDJ will be spinning punk, soul, brit-pop, and rock 'n roll on real vinyl! 322 2nd St.

4th Birthday at Porta

Celebrate the start of Thanksgiving weekend and Porta's 4th birthday all in one from 10pm-2am. There will be 9 DJs spinning tonight, plus drink specials, giveaways, and more! Definitely a great time to be had here. 135 Newark Ave.

Live Bluegrass at The Archer

Every Wednesday night The Archer features live bluegrass music group the Go Bailers from 7:30-10:30pm. This Wednesday there will be even more special guest performing. Stop in for some delicious bar fair and amazing cocktails. 176 Newark Ave.

Thursday, November 22nd:

Thanksgiving Dinner at Satis Bistro

Satis Bistro will be open and serving dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 3-8pm. The regular menu will be available along with a pre-fixe turkey dinner. The pre-fixe includes a choice of soup or salad, the main entree (turkey and stuffing) and dessert. 212 Washington St.

Thanksgiving for the Community at Hard Grove

PACO Inc. and The Hard Grove Restaurant have teamed up to bring a Thanksgiving meal to anyone in need this holiday season. A hot meal will be served from 10am to 2pm on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Meditation

Friday, November 23rd:

Great Barrier Reef Opens at The Liberty Science Center

Can't afford to hop a plane across the world? No problem! The Great Barrier Reef is coming to the Giant Dome Theater at LSC from Friday, November 23rd through Sunday, November 25th. Witness the astounding beauty of one of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet and learn about the ongoing efforts to protect it. And if the aquatic scene is not for you, Pandas, a story of a panda raised in captivity discovering the wild, will be playing on the same dates. Saturday, November 24th:

Small Business Saturday

Get out and support your local businesses this Saturday! Many local boutiques will be offering sales, discounts and specials. Kanibal & Co. has teamed up with Hochstadter's Slow & Low Rock and Rye to offer complimentary cocktails for their shoppers along with 10% off your purchase and a sale on holiday items. Latin Jazz Brunch at Atlas Public House

NFL Sundays at VB3
