Summertime is when Jersey City really comes to life! From night markets to jazz and comedy festivals, there is something to look forward to all month long!


The Jersey City Jazz Festival at Multiple Locations – June 1st-9th

This is one of the city's best events of the year, and the perfect way to get out and enjoy these warm summery evenings! There will be events all week long at local restaurants and outdoor venues featuring some incredible jazz musicians! Find out more about who is performing and where at the official website here.


Opening of The Jersey City Night Market at The Journal Square PATH Plaza – June 1st

The Jersey City Open-Air Night Market has arrived! Head on over to the Journal Square Path Plaza to shop local, dine al fresco, and celebrate all that is Jersey City! There will be artisan vendors, local food trucks, international food offerings, emerging DJs, and more! And it's dog- and family-friendly! The market will run from 4-10pm every Saturday throughout the summer! 80 Journal Sq.


The Late Night Mic at McGinley Square Pub – June 1st

Saturday June 1st, join host Josh Wells for The Late Mic at McGinley Square Pub. Signup is at 10pm, with a 10:30pm start. Sets will last 5 minutes, and there is a 1 drink minimum for the event! 755 Montgomery St.


'90s Brunch Party at Los Dos – June 2nd

We hope you've been practicing your Carlton because Los Dos is hosting a '90s brunch party this Sunday, June 2nd. From 1-6pm you can get a mimosa pitcher, chips and guac, and 2 entrees for $45. Plus, jam out to '90s party music by "In For A Treat". 100 York St.


10th Annual Jersey City Ward Tour & Festival at City Hall – June 2nd

Bike JC's 10th Annual Jersey City Ward Tour will take you, and about 2,000 other biking enthusiasts, on a tour of all six wards of our great city! There is an option for either a 15- or 25-mile ride, the event is free with a suggested donation of $5 to fund their year-round commitment to better biking in JC! Non Solo Verdure: A Night of Vegan Delights at Pasta Dal Cuore – June 4th

Tetris 35th Anniversary Celebration at Barcade – June 8th

6th Borough Comedy Festival 2019 at Multiple Locations – June 12th-15th

Art House Productions will be hosting their second annual 6th Borough Comedy Fest (6BCF) from June 12th-15th. 6BCF is held in Downtown Jersey City with over 130 performers from across the country. Evening Under the Stars at York Street Project – June 13th

The best block party of the year is back for the 9th year in a row! Tickets include unlimited tastings from all the food and drink vendors. Entertainment for the night will be live music from the Jersey shore cover band, "enjoy!". Proceeds for the event go to support the York Street Project Programs that deliver solutions to break the cycle of poverty. Tickets can be purchased here. 89 York St.


Midnight Market at Harborside – June 14th

Friends of LSP's 5K Run & Fun Run at Liberty State Park – June 15th

Join the Friends of LSP's first "Run for Liberty" on Saturday the 15th, with a 5K Run at 10am and Fun Run (1 mile) for children at 9:30am, with check-in by the Flag Plaza at Liberty State Park's south side. You can register here. The route will feature inspiring views along the waterfront of Lady Liberty, Ellis Island, the harbor, and the Manhattan skyline! LSC After Dark: Whiskey in Westeros 2 at Liberty Science Center – June 20th

Project: EATS 2019 at City Hall – June 22nd-23rd

The Jersey City Project is hosting their annual summer kick-off food marketplace! All you residents of Jersey City will be able to celebrate the warm days with cool drinks and delicious eats at PROJECT: EATS on June 22nd and 23rd. The food-centric marketplace will run from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday and will be located around City Hall in Historic Downtown Jersey City. Yoga Fest Jersey City at the Historic Downtown Pedestrian Zone – June 22nd

Each year during the week of the summer solstice International Yoga Day is celebrated. Cities and studios around the world come together to celebrate the union of yoga. This year, Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City has teamed up with HDSID (Historic Downtown Special Improvement District), the City of Jersey City and the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs to produce the second annual Yoga Fest Jersey City on Saturday June 22nd, beginning at 7am. 2nd Annual Guinness, Oyster & Music Festival at The Hutton – June 22nd
