It's the first weekend in June and we already can't get enough of summer! Not only does the beautiful weather make us want to head outdoors, but there are just SO MANY more events going on. Save money on those electric bills, turn off your AC, and check out what's happening.

Thursday, June 6th:

Sleepy & Boo, Herrera Bros., Matheo G, & Carlitos at Red Lounge

It's always a good time to get lit at Red Lounge. Pop on over for some awesome cocktails and dance to sets from Sleepy & Boo, Herrera Brothers, Matheo G, and Carlitos. There's no cover and the party starts at 9pm. 136 Newark Ave.

Thursday Happy Hour at Corgi Spirits

A classy evening of libations more your speed? Corgi is definitely the answer! The swanky distillery recently released their new summer cocktail menu so go check it out with for Thursday happy hour from 5-10pm for $8 a pop. Plus, they have 10% off bottles (we recommend getting their limited edition Pride bottle of Saddlecoat Vodka). A portion of the sales from that bottle benefits Hudson Pride Center. 1 Distillery Dr.

Friday, June 7th:

Groove on Grove: JC Fridays Showcase and Artist & Maker Market at Grove Path Plaza

One of the best parts of summer Fridays? Coming back to JC and Groove on Grove is happening! The Artist & Maker Market will be at the Path plaza from 3-10pm, and there will be music from 5-10pm. Because they also know you'll need a drink after the long week, beer and liquor will be provided by some of your fave local restaurants! Grove Path Plaza

Journal Square Green Market at Journal Square Plaza

Can't get enough of the Artist & Maker market? Head over to Journal Square Green Market from 2-8pm to check out more artisan vendors, listen to live music, and bring your appetite—because in true JC fashion, there will be food vendors. Journal Sq. Plaza

4th Annual VVPA Golf Outing at Skyway Golf Course

Now this is a whole different idea of clubbing. Van Vorst Park Association is having their 4thannual golf outing and happy hour this Friday from 4 to 10pm. Play a fun 9-hole round for prizes. There's also a happy hour after with a BBQ dinner. Get your tickets here. 515 Duncan Ave.

Saturday, June 8th:

Drag Queen Story Hour with Harmonica Sunbeam at WORD Bookstore

Kick off Pride month at Drag Queen story hour at Word bookstore. Harmonica Sunbeam's reading will focus on encouraging creativity and boundless energy as they relate to both gender neutrality and non-conformity while promoting positive LGBTQ role models. 123 Newark Ave.

Annual Block Party at Hamilton Pork

This event basically speaks for itself. If you've ever been to Hamilton Pork's annual block party before, you know a good time will be had by all (including the munchkins). There will be music and plenty of food and drinks from 11am-8pm. 247 10th St.

Tetris 25th Anniversary Celebration at Barcade

From noon til 3am, Barcade will be hosting a party to celebrate with Tetris for their 35th anniversary! Drop by for themed food and drink specials, giveaways, and exclusive merch! 163 Newark Ave.

34th Annual Hamilton Park Festival

All signs point toward sunshine on Saturday, so why not spend it outdoors at Hamilton Park's 34thannual festival. There will be new and used items for sale from local residents as well as food, live entertainment, a petting zoo, bounce house, and a magician for the kiddies! Hamilton Park

Pride Night Cocktails for a Cause at Six26

Yaaaaas! Celebrate Pride with the NJ LGBT Chamber of Commerce and The Pride Network with drinks at Six26. They'll be raising money to support LGBTQ business owners and youth leaders in NJ. Sunday, June 9th:

Free Do It All Class by Jane Do at Harborside Atrium

Get you're a$ in this class! A personal favorite JC spot of mine (as you can tell from my bio), a Jane Do class is not to be missed. Working out is so much more fun with these ladies, especially when it's FREE. Yes, it's at 9am, but think of all the things you'll accomplish by starting your day early (including a serious workout). Jersey City Jazz Festival at Grove Path Plaza

Take a break from your Sunday errands and stop by the Grove Path Plaza to enjoy the Jersey City Jazz Festival. The Swingadelic Big Band will be playing from noon to 1pm and it's free for all! Grove Path Plaza
