Celebrate the dog days of summer with these great events going on this weekend. From markets to block parties, pride events and tastings, your social media can be the envy of your feed on Monday after you've hit up these spectacular happenings!


Thursday, August 15th:

Grove Street Path Farmers' Market

Thursdays and Mondays from 4-8pm head down to the Grove Path Plaza for farmers' stands, food, music, and local vendors. Grove St. PATH


Lez Drink at Six26

Six26 along with Lez Fest are hosting a queer women's happy hour Thursday from 5-8pm. So head on down to enjoy fun, laughs, amazing company, and great drink specials! 128 Christopher Columbus Dr.


LSC After Dark: Wine-O-Saurs

Liberty Science Center's next 21-plus event is dinosaur-themed, so why not shake a tail feather down to LSC to enjoy wine tastings, a fossil dig, and a horseshoe crab touch tank. The event goes from 6-10pm and tickets can be found here. 222 Jersey City Blvd.


Friday, August 16th:

Pride Weekend at Lutze

Beginning at 5pm on Friday and continuing on Saturday come out to the Lutze biergarten for a not-to-be-missed pride event going on in the city. Hosted by comedian Harmonica Sunbeam and featuring music and drink specials along with giveaways, proceeds will go towards Hudson Pride Center. 3 Second St.


Gringo's Discoteca

Friday from 7pm to midnight come on down to Gringo's Tacos for a night of pride with house-infused disco all night long. There will be drink specials as well as a disco costume contest. The event will be hosted by Harmonica Sunbeam and feature performances from Disco Diva. 12 Coles St.


Anthony Fuscaldo Group at Fox and Crow

Head down to Fox and Crow for a relaxing night of jazz, blues, and experimental music from the Anthony Fuscaldo Group from 10pm to 12am. 594 Palisade Ave.


Saturday, August 17th:

Drag Queen Story Hour at Word Bookstore

Storytime with Harmonica Sunbeam from 11am to 12pm, hosted by Word will feature an event for kids and adults including talks on gender neutrality and nonconformity, promoting positive LGBTQ role models and reading oppression and ism-free books along with sing-alongs. 123 Newark St.


Ed & Mary's Block Party

Join Bulleit the dog for his 1st birthday bash hosted by Ed & Mary's restaurant and Bulleit bourbon. Saturday from 12-7pm come on down for food trucks, cornhole, live music, a pop-up dog park, and of course beer and cocktails. And if you're looking to adopt Waggytail Rescue will have dogs out and about. 174 Coles St.


5th Annual Jersey City Pride Bar Crawl

Come check out a walking tour of downtown Jersey City that will make stops at 3 bars between 5-10:30pm. The stops will include Hard Grove, Six26, and Pint. Each stop will include drink specials and door prizes. Tickets can be found here and can also be purchased at any of the bars along the way, all proceeds will benefit The Hudson Pride Center. 284 1st St.


Sunday, August 18th:

Union City Street Fair and Craft Show

Come out to Washington Park, straddling Jersey City, and Union City Sunday from 11-5pm for live music, crafts, vendors, and food. Sponsored by The Hudson County Latino Foundation. 2nd St and New York Ave.


8th Annual Peach Pie Contest at Riverview Fisk Park

Sunday from 10am to 3pm come to Riverview Fisk Park for a peach festival you will not soon forget. There will be peach and pie tastings along with music, yoga, and face painting for kids, oh and did we mention a peach pie contest. If you feel like you've got the pits you can sign up for the contest or volunteer here. Hosted by Farms in the Heights and Riverview Farmers' Market. Riverview Fisk Park.


Exploring The Barrow Mansion

Hosted by The New York Adventure Club, come for a tour led by the house historian which includes a walkthrough of the 1838 mansion which will conclude in the subterranean bowling alley where you will get a chance to show off your skills on the country's oldest public bowling alley. The event goes from 2-4pm and tickets can be found here. 83 Wayne St.
