August seems to have been a month for the vegetarians, vegans, and healthy eaters! Three out of the five new spots around JC are specifically catered to the aforementioned people, but the other two are definitely for indulging...

Busy Bee Organics

You might know the meal prep company from local markets and festivals, but they've officially opened a brick-and-mortar in the Heights. They post a new menu of healthy, plant-based, gluten-free and dairy-free options every week that you can pick up or get delivered if you live in the area. Let the experts get you on the right path to clean eating. 451 Palisade Ave.

La Dolce Vita

La Dolce Vita quite literally seems to have a bit of everything on the menu. It's a great family friendly spot that is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. They've got fresh seafood, subs, pasta, salads—you name it, they've got it on the menu. Plus, prices are super affordable. 398 Central Ave.

Vibez Juice & Vegan Café

If you don't know, now you know that healthy can taste good (as evidenced by Vibez tagline "delightfully healthy"). Pop into their Heights shop for a refreshing fresh-pressed juice or a tasty vegan meal. 82 Hutton St.

Baking Mama

Hoboken's Baking Mama was formerly in the Harborside Atrium space and has now reopened a storefront in the new District Kitchen. Get your sweet fix with one (or more) of their macarons, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and more! Harborside Atrium

Ling Long Xuan

This new Chinese spot offers two of our favorite things: BYOB and a huge menu. They have lots of Sichuan dishes—some familiar, some not—but the menu has pictures and descriptions, which is definitely helpful. The prices are very reasonable and the portions substantial. 586 Newark Ave.
