Between Oktoberfest celebrations, Halloween, Diwali, and a myriad of fun fall-time activities, it's impossible not to be totally amped for October! We've gathered up a list of some of the best events going on around the city this month for you to plan ahead. And make sure to look out for our Halloween Guide at the end of the month for all the fun and spooky events happening on arguably the best holiday of the year.

Oktoberfest at Zeppelin Hall – October 1st-20th

Oktoberfest is taking over Zeppelin Hall Biergarten! They are known to host the best Oktoberfest experience with German and American craft Beers, Bavarian dishes, and live German party bands on weekends. Jersey City Art & Studio Tour – October 3rd-6th

The Jersey City Art and Studio Tour is back! This is your opportunity to see all of the amazing things Jersey City artists have to offer! Jersey City Bacon and Beer Classic at the Harborside Atrium – October 3rd

The inaugural Jersey City Bacon and Beer Classic is taking over the Jersey City waterfront with 25+ bacon-inspired dishes and 65+ craft beers and ciders! For one night only, Jersey City's coolest waterfront venue will transform into an all-inclusive boozy bash of all things delicious. Vision Board Party at Griot Café – October 4th

Time to get unstuck! Take some time to plan the life you truly want and deserve at this amazing Vision Board Party! Fall Harvest Festival – October 6th

Join Farms in the Heights on October 6th for their Fall Harvest Music Festival! There will be live music starting at 10:30am, family activities and fall fun will be plentiful! Plants and Synths at WFMU's Monty Hall – October 10th

If you're looking for an interesting way to mix up your autumn weeknight, head over for an exciting and immersive night of experimental electronic music, synthesizers, and plant life at Monty Hall! As you enter Monty Hall, you'll be able to "play" and make sounds with fruits in an interactive exhibit by composer Angélica Negrón. On stage, you'll hear new projects from Yuka C. Honda of Cibo Matto, a modular synth set from Greg Fox, Lesley Flanigan and a variety of loops, drones, and electronic feedback from a couple more electronic artists. Little Piece of France at Vogue Café – October 11th & 25th

Oktoberfesty Polka Dance Party! with DJ Stashu at Monty Hall – October 11th

Get the most out of Octoberfest by joining DJ Stashu at Monty Hall for an Oktoberfesty Polka Dance Party! Stashu and Joe McGasko will be spinning your favorite polka tunes, the beer and perogies will be flowing and they'll even provide polka dance lessons! Dandia Night & Diwali Bazaar at Exchange Place – October 11th

Head over to Exchange Place for an evening of dancing to Dandia and Bollywood music and shopping at the Diwali bazaar with a variety of vendors. Foodie Festival and Dance Party – October 11th

Croatian Wine Social at Riverview Wine Beer & Spirits JC – October 12th

Fifth Annual Diwali Festival at Exchange Place – October 12th

Get ready for another incredible celebration at the Festival of Lights Diwali event at the Exchange Place Pier! This is a FREE event and will feature live music, performances, vendors, raffles, and amazing Indian food! The event will begin at noon and run until 5pm. Exchange Place Pier.

Jersey City Oddities Market at Harborside JC – October 13th

It's time to get spooky! The Jersey City Oddities Market returns to Harborside on October 13th from noon until 6pm. This event will feature over 70 artists and collectors of the old and the odd, balloon twisting, and a special live magic show! 210 Hudson St.

JC West Side Chili Cook-Off at Lincoln Park – October 13th

For the 5th year running, it's time for the JC West Side Chili Cook Off! This day of fun will start at noon, and last until 2pm. To enter, visit their site. Lincoln Park.

Sixth Annual Cultural Diversity Festival and Harvest Festival at City Hall Plaza – October 13th

This year the 6th Annual Cultural Diversity Festival will be together with the Harvest Festival! It will be a day of celebrating the fall season and diversity in our city. There will be an array of fun activities planned for the whole family, including pumpkin painting, arts & crafts, musical acts, dancers, an art show and— of course—delicious food! LSC After Dark: The Upside Down at Liberty Science Center – October 17th

LSC After Dark is back and bringing some "stranger things" to the Liberty Science Center! LSC After Dark: The Upside Down will run from 6–10pm. This 21+ event is inspired by the hit Netflix series, both fans and non-fans will have a blast at this Halloween party straight out of Hawkins, Indiana! Wine Tasting with Girard Winery at Sátis Bistro – October 17th

6th Annual Glow Walk Run – October 26th

The Glow Walk Run is held every year in Jersey City's Liberty State Park with a beautiful panorama of the Manhattan skyline at dusk! The walk features various activities, music, information vendors, games, and much more for to all those that register. Participants will receive glow necklaces upon arrival, children and adults alike are encouraged to wear costumes for trick or treating at rest stops along the walking route and for the costume catwalk contest held later in the evening.
